THE DREAM

Simplicity in the starkness of white and the absense of color brings the freedom of Carte Blanche. The ethereal qualities and sense of fluidity in the layers of tone against tone. The freedom and softness and comfort of the passing clouds give way to blue skies very slowly and calmly and the rights of spring bring a formality that has a ceremonial quality to it.

INSPIRATION | COLOR

ceremonial robes, white on white, simplicity is interrupted with complex and ornate bursts of embroidery.

TEXTILES

soft flowy chiffon, liquid satin, starched linen, bleached faille, crisp tulle, brilliant cotton, highly textured orange peel wools, supple jerseys, voille, iced white wool chepes

Special note:

This collection was originally scheduled to debut on the runway at NYFW on Friday Sept 15th and was cancelled due to the 9/11 disaster in NYC. The collection eerily was apropos for the feelings that surrounded us after the collapse of the WTC. The runway was subsequently held in Los Angeles and presented as a benefit for The Dream Foundation which provides final wishes for terminally ill adults.
