 The Designer and The Muse

John Arguelles, the President of Lloyd Klein creates a sensational fundraising event called the Designer and the Muse to benefit the Fashion Group International of Los Angeles for which he was also the standing Regional Director. The format of the evening was an elaborate cocktail event in which designers from Los Angeles would be honored and suggested that they arrive escorted with their model or celebrity muse. The intent was to honor the designers, bring media attention and provide a platform for creativity to showcase local designers. The event is now celebrated annually. Lloyd Klein attended with one of his muses to three of those celebrations:

October 2009 |  Kathy Ireland, "The Muse with the Midas Touch"

March 2010  |  Natalie Cole, "The Muse of Grace"

Lloyd Klein on Americas Next Top Model

The brand is showcased on the Americas Next Top Model television series in its 14th season. This time the contestants are in competition in New Zealand. They each must wear the same Lloyd Klein gown on a slick grassy slopped hillside location and give the best pose possible to photographer Nigel Barker so that one can emerge as the model who wore it best in the opinion of Vogue Magazine's Editor-At-Large Andre Leon Talley, Show Host Tyra Banks and the other esteemed judges. The Gown was originally modeled by Carol Alt as the finale exit look on the runway which was held in the Hammerstein Ballroom as part of the New York Fashion Week Calendar for the Fall Winter 2002|2003 Collections. The Classicist black floor length gown features an exaggerated train with a large ruffle trim and has a companion cloud-shaped shoulder wrap that fastens at the wrists. For this competition, the contestants must not only give good face, manage a dress that has both a train and a wrap but each must pose with a live grazing Ram in a windy environment. You can decide which of the models wore the Lloyd Klein dress the best by viewing the edited version of Cycle 14, episode 8: "Welcome to New Zealand" on the Lloyd Klein YouTube Channel.
